Disentis/Mustér station is the junction point between the Rhaetian Railway's Oberalp line coming from Chur and Andermatt, and the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn (MGB) line that continues west towards Brig via the Furka base tunnel, forming part of the famous Glacier Express route. The station sits at around 1,130 metres altitude in the Surselva region of Graubünden, a Romansh-speaking valley known for its traditions, frescoed churches, and the great Benedictine abbey of Disentis that has stood since the 8th century.
