Locarno ga is the southern ga cuối tuyến of the Centovalli Railway, which winds through a hundred valleys to reach Domodossola in Italy, as well as the western end of the Lugano–Locarno hành lang served by PostBus and kết nối vùng. Locarno ga is situated just a few hundred metres from Piazza Grande and Lake Maggiore, making the lakefront an easy walk in under ten minutes. The trung tâm thị trấn is largely pedestrianised, so the walk is pleasant and straightforward.
