St-Maurice is a estación in the canton of Valais at the dramatic narrowing of the Rhône valle, where a gorge has made the site strategically important since antiquity and where a historic puente and fortifications mark the passage between cantons Valais and Vaud. It lies on the main SBB línea from Geneva and Lausanne towards Brig and the Simplon tunnel, and is served by trenes interurbanos así como servicios regionales connecting the Chablais region with the rest of French-speaking Switzerland.
