Bourg-en-Bresse is the principal railway station of the Ain department in eastern France, positioned on the TER network as a key stop on the Lyon–Geneva corridor and a hub for regional services radiating across the Bresse and Dombes plains. Bourg-en-Bresse station is situated about a ten-minute walk from the historic town centre along Avenue Alsace-Lorraine. Local buses also serve the area, and taxis are available directly outside the station entrance.
Bourg-en-Bresse does not have a staffed left-luggage facility, so it is advisable to travel light or make arrangements at your accommodation. Some hotels in the town centre will store luggage for guests arriving before check-in time.
