Mörel station is on the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn line connecting Brig to Andermatt and Disentis. RegionAlps and MGB services provide connections to the Rhône valley and the Aletsch Arena resort.

Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn (MGB) operates services through Mörel. The station also connects to the Aletsch Arena gondola, which provides access to the UNESCO World Heritage Aletsch Glacier area.

Mörel station features a small station building, ticket machines, and direct access to the Aletsch Arena gondola base station. Parking is available for visitors heading to the glacier region.

Mörel is the primary access point for the Aletsch Arena and the Great Aletsch Glacier, the largest glacier in the Alps and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Riederalp and Bettmeralp car-free resorts are reached by gondola from the station area.

Mörel has been a gateway to the Aletsch region since the railway arrived in the upper Rhône valley. The Great Aletsch Glacier, stretching 23 kilometers, was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001, making Mörel station an important tourism access point.
