Tourcoing station is centrally located, within walking distance of the main square and the MUba Eugene Leroy art museum. The Lille Metro line 2 also serves Tourcoing, connecting it to Lille in about 20 minutes.

TER Hauts-de-France regional trains connect Tourcoing to Lille in about 15 minutes. Cross-border services to Mouscron and Kortrijk in Belgium are also available. The station is on the Lille-Brussels corridor, though most high-speed services stop at Lille Europe or Lille Flandres instead.

Luggage storage at Tourcoing is limited. The station has a ticket office and basic facilities. For more extensive services, Lille Flandres station is a short train ride away.

The MUba Eugene Leroy museum, housed in a former textile factory, is the main cultural attraction. Tourcoing was a major centre of the French textile industry, and its industrial heritage is visible in the converted factories and warehouses throughout the city.

Tourcoing sits directly on the Franco-Belgian border, forming part of the Lille-Roubaix-Tourcoing metropolitan area that extends into Belgium. The cross-border tramway and train services reflect this binational character, making it easy to pop over to Belgian towns like Mouscron.
