St-Imier is a станция in the Bernese Jura district in the canton of Bern, serving one of the principal centres of Swiss watchmaking in the long Vallée de Saint-Imier in the Jura mountains. Regional rail services on the BLS линия connect St-Imier with Biel/Bienne to the north and with La Chaux-de-Fonds over the Tête-de-Ran ridge, linking the most important watchmaking towns of the Swiss Jura. The valley is associated with the anarchist Jura Federation, and the town's watch museum documents the region's centuries-old horological heritage.

Saint-Imier is on the BLS line between Biel/Bienne and La Chaux-de-Fonds, about 25 minutes from Biel. The line passes through the Vallon de Saint-Imier, a scenic valley in the Bernese Jura.

BLS regional trains on the Biel-La Chaux-de-Fonds line serve Saint-Imier. The station provides connections to the wider Swiss network at Biel and to the watchmaking towns of the Jura at the other end.

Saint-Imier station is small with basic facilities. The town centre is within walking distance. The funicular to Mont-Soleil, with its panoramic views and solar power installations, departs from near the station.

The Mont-Soleil funicular provides access to a viewpoint with panoramic Jura and Alps views and a large solar energy installation. The 11th-century Collegiate Church is a Romanesque gem. Longines, the watchmaker, was founded here in 1832 and maintains its headquarters in the town.

Saint-Imier is the birthplace of Longines, one of Switzerland's most prestigious watch brands, founded by Auguste Agassiz in 1832. The town is also notable in political history as the site of the 1872 congress of the anti-authoritarian International, attended by Mikhail Bakunin.
