Strasbourg станция is the main railway hub of Alsace and one of the most important cross-border stations in Western Europe, reflecting the city's unique position on the Franco-German border on the Rhine. It was given a landmark glass canopy extension in 2007 that envelops the historic late-19th-century stone terminus building, creating a dramatic architectural juxtaposition.
