Wissembourg is the northernmost town in Alsace and its railway станция sits directly on the Franco-German border in the Bas-Rhin department of north-eastern France, making it a natural cross-border halt. TER regional services connect Wissembourg southward to Strasbourg in around one hour, and the станция formerly linked with the German Palatinate Rail network across the border to Neustadt an der Weinstraße. The historic old town of Wissembourg, with its medieval walls and Romanesque abbey, is within easy walking distance of the станция.
