München Hauptbahnhof is the principal ga tàu of the Bavarian capital and one of the bận rộn nhất in Germany, lying at the intersection of đường dài ICE and EC hành lang connecting Munich with Frankfurt, Berlin, Hamburg, Zürich, Vienna, and Rome. München Hauptbahnhof is located just west of the Altstadt, with Marienplatz reachable in around five minutes on tuyến U-Bahn U4 or U5, or đi bộ in about 15 minutes. The ga sits above a major S-Bahn trung tâm serving the entire Greater Munich region.
