Über Baden

Baden station is one of der wichtigste commuter Bahnknotenpunkte in the canton of Aargau, sitting at the point where the Limmat river leaves the Jura hills and opens into the Swiss Mittelland, just 25 kilometres northwest of Zürich. The city of Baden has a long history as a spa town — the name derives from the hot sulphurous springs that have attracted visitors since Roman times — and as an industrial centre that was home to the ABB engineering corporation and its predecessors for over a century. Frequent S-Bahn-Dienste on lines S6 and S12 connect Baden with Zürich Hauptbahnhof in etwa 20 Minuten, and Intercity-Züge also stop here, was es one of the best-connected smaller cities in the Zürich metropolitan region.
