Über Bergün/Bravuogn

Bergün/Bravuogn is a station on the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) Albula Line in the canton of Graubünden, sitting at etwa 1,370 metres in the Albula valley and serving as der Haupt- village before the dramatic ascent to the Albula tunnel. The station lies on the UNESCO World Heritage railway route between Chur and St. Moritz, and trains ascending from here traverse a famous series of loops, spirals, and viaducts engineered to gain altitude without exceeding the permitted gradient. A railway museum in the village celebrates the Albula Line's extraordinary engineering heritage, and the area is popular for winter sledging and summer hiking.
