MajorSwitzerland
Bergün/Bravuogn is a station on the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) Albula Line in the canton of Graubünden, sitting at around 1,370 metres in the Albula valley and serving as the main village before the dramatic ascent to the Albula tunnel. The station lies on the UNESCO World Heritage railway route between Chur and St. Moritz, and trains ascending from here traverse a famous series of loops, spirals, and viaducts engineered to gain altitude without exceeding the permitted gradient. A railway museum in the village celebrates the Albula Line's extraordinary engineering heritage, and the area is popular for winter sledging and summer hiking.
