Über Meilen

Meilen is a lakeside station on the eastern shore of Lake Zürich in the canton of Zürich, served by the S-Bahn-Linie running between Zürich Hauptbahnhof and Rapperswil along the so-called 'Gold Coast' — a stretch of lakeside communities popular for their southern aspect, residential character, and proximity to the city. The station is hauptsächlich used by commuters and leisure travellers heading to the lake's bathing areas and boat piers, from which lake steamers operate seasonally. Frequent S6 and S16 services make Meilen leicht reachable from Zürich in etwa 25 Minuten.
