Über Oensingen
Oensingen is a station in the canton of Solothurn, Schweiz, in the Gäu valley between Olten and Solothurn. It is a junction on der Haupt- Berne–Zürich line and handles a mix of regional and S-Bahn-Dienste. The station also gives access to the Oensingen-Balsthal-Bahn, a narrow-gauge line serving the Balsthal valley.

SBB InterRegio trains on the Bern-Olten-Zurich line stop at Oensingen. The station is also the starting point of the narrow-gauge Oensingen-Balsthal railway (OeBB), one of Switzerland's shortest railway lines.
Oensingen station has basic facilities including lockers. The station serves both the mainline SBB trains and the OeBB branch line to Balsthal.

The Oensingen-Balsthal Bahn (OeBB) is one of Switzerland's shortest railways, running just 3.8 kilometres between Oensingen and Balsthal. Despite its tiny size, it operates as an independent railway company and provides important commuter connections to the SBB mainline.
