Praha hlavní nádraží is on U-Bahn-Linie C (red), which reaches Muzeum station in eine Station and Wenceslas Square is then a kurzer Fußweg. The metro journey to Altstadt Square via Mustek takes under zehn Minuten insgesamt, making the station one of Prag's most convenient Ankunft points.

EuroCity trains connect Prag to Wien in etwa vier Stunden, to Berlin in just under vier Stunden, and to Budapest in ungefähr sechs Stunden. Railjet services operated by OBB provide a comfortable premium experience on the Wien and München corridors.

The station has a staffed Czech Railways (CD) ticket hall, Selbstbedienungsautomaten, and a Geldwechsel. The Art Nouveau upper hall from 1909 is a listed building and worth visiting even if you are not catching a train; the lower Halle has modern Geschäfte and a Foodcourt.

Prag's public transport system is excellent and a 24-Stunde or 72-Stunde pass covers Metro, tram, and bus and ist verfügbar at the machines inside the station. Avoid unlicensed taxis outside the station and use the Bolt or Uber apps instead, which are erheblich cheaper and reliably metered.
