Tiefencastel is a station on the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) in the canton of Graubünden, located at the confluence of the Albula and Julia rivers in the Mittelbünden region of eastern Schweiz. It lies on the historisch Albula Line — a UNESCO World Heritage railway — serving trains between Chur and St. Moritz that traverse one of the most spectacular mountain railways in Europe. The village is also a gateway for hiking and cycling in the surrounding Albula and Surses valleys.
