Graz Hauptbahnhof is about a 15-minute walk from the Hauptplatz in the centro histórico, or a five-minute tranvía ride on líneas 3, 6, or 7. The Schlossberg cima fortaleza with its clock torre is a further ten-minute walk through the picturesque lanes of the Altstadt.

Railjet and IC servicios connect Graz to Vienna Hauptbahnhof in under three hours, and to Salzburg, Klagenfurt, and Villach. International trenes también reach Ljubljana and Zagreb, making Graz an important puerta de entrada between Austria and the occidental Balkans.
