Frankfurt Hbf is one of Germany's busiest stations and is directly connected to the city centre by U-Bahn lines U4 and U5, S-Bahn services, and numerous tram routes. The Zeil shopping street and Römerberg old town are reachable in around five to ten minutes by U-Bahn.

Frankfurt Hbf is Germany's premier rail hub, with ICE services to every major German city and international connections to Paris (TGV/ICE), Brussels, Amsterdam, Vienna, Zurich, and beyond. High-speed trains depart every few minutes during peak hours.
