About Cahors

Cahors is the station of the medieval capital of the Lot department in the Occitanie region, a town enclosed within a dramatic meander of the Lot River and renowned for its 14th-century Valentré bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. TER regional trains connect Cahors with Toulouse to the south in around one hour and fifteen minutes, and northward with Brive-la-Gaillarde and Paris Austerlitz on the historic Quercy main line. The station is a short walk from the old town and the Valentré bridge, making it an excellent base for exploring the Lot valley wine country.

Cahors station is about a 10-minute walk north of the Pont Valentre and the old town. Walk south along Boulevard Gambetta, the main boulevard that bisects the peninsular old town surrounded by a meander of the Lot river.

Intercites trains connect Cahors to Paris Austerlitz in about five hours on the POLT line via Limoges. TER Occitanie regional trains run to Toulouse in about 90 minutes and to Brive-la-Gaillarde. The station is on the historic Paris-Toulouse corridor.
