关于 盖尔森基兴

Gelsenkirchen Hauptbahnhof is the central station of Gelsenkirchen, a city in the northern Ruhr area of North Rhine-Westphalia, historically one of Germany's major coal mining and industrial centres. Regional Express and S-Bahn services connect Gelsenkirchen with Dortmund, Essen, Bochum, and Duisburg across the densely networked Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn system, with IC trains also calling on north–south routes. The station is the nearest rail access for the Veltins-Arena, home of FC Schalke 04, one of Germany's most prominent football clubs.

Tram line 302 connects Gelsenkirchen Hauptbahnhof to Buer Nord, passing near the Veltins-Arena football stadium — journey time is around 15 minutes. On matchdays, additional shuttle services and signage guide visitors from the station directly to the ground.
S-Bahn lines S2 and S3 serve Gelsenkirchen Hbf, linking the city to Dortmund, Essen, Duisburg, and Düsseldorf. RE trains also provide connections to Münster in the north and the wider Rhine-Ruhr network.
The station has ticket machines, a small retail area, and a café on the concourse. Buses and trams depart from the forecourt to all parts of the city, and bicycle parking is available beside the main entrance.
Luggage lockers are available at the station for short-term storage. For extended storage, Essen Hauptbahnhof — just 15 minutes away by S-Bahn — offers a larger range of locker sizes and a staffed left-luggage counter.
The ZOOM Erlebniswelt zoo and the Wissenschaftspark science park are both reachable by tram within 20 minutes of the station. The UNESCO Zollverein Coal Mine in neighbouring Essen is about 30 minutes away by S-Bahn.
