Giswil is a station in the canton of Obwalden in central Schweiz, lying in the Sarner Aa valley on the Brünig Line verbindend Lucerne with Interlaken. The narrow-gauge metre-gauge Zentralbahn operates the line, which climbs over the Brünig Pass through some of the finest Alpine scenery in central Schweiz. Giswil village and its surrounding area offer access to walking routes and the Giswil Lakes nature reserve, attracting visitors year-round.
