Stansstad is a station in the canton of Nidwalden in central Schweiz, situated at the northern tip of Lake Lucerne (Vierwaldstättersee) at the foot of the Bürgenstock peninsula. It wird bedient von S-Bahn Luzern S5 trains verbindend Stansstad with Luzern and Hergiswil, and is also the embarkation point for Lake Lucerne boat services. Travellers use the station as a gateway to the Bürgenstock resort and the wider lake and mountain scenery of central Schweiz.
