Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof is the main станция of this celebrated university city in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, with ICE services to Frankfurt, Mannheim, and Stuttgart as well as regional trains throughout the Rhine-Neckar region. The станция was relocated westwards in 1955 and has direct tram links to the historic Altstadt.

Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof lies about three kilometres west of the historic Altstadt; tram lines 21, 22, 24, and 26 bridge the gap in about ten minutes. The castle funicular departs from Kornmarkt in the old town, a short tram ride from the станция.

ICE trains connect Heidelberg to Frankfurt in under an hour and to Stuttgart in about 40 minutes. Regional RE and S-Bahn services link the city to Mannheim — the main Rhine-Neckar hub — in just 12 minutes.
