Angers Saint-Laud is the main railway station of Angers, the historic capital of the Maine-et-Loire department and the former seat of the Plantagenet dynasty in the Loire valley of western France. TGV services connect Angers with Paris Montparnasse in around 95 minutes, while TER regional trains serve Nantes, Le Mans, Saumur, and Cholet, making the station a well-connected hub for the western Loire valley. The station is a 15-minute walk from the medieval château of Angers and its renowned Apocalypse Tapestry, the largest surviving medieval tapestry in the world.
