Erfurt Hbf is the main railway station of Erfurt, the capital of Thuringia and one of the best-preserved medieval cities in central Germany. It is a major junction on the Erfurt–Leipzig/Halle high-speed line and the Frankfurt–Berlin ICE axis, making it one of the fastest growing rail interchange points in Germany since the line's opening in 2017.
