About Limburg Süd

Limburg Süd is a high-speed railway station on the Cologne–Frankfurt Neubaustrecke in Hesse, Germany, opened in 2002 as an ICE stop serving the Limburg an der Lahn area in the Lahn valley. The station is located outside the city centre on the dedicated high-speed line rather than on the historic valley railway, allowing ICE trains to reach Frankfurt in around 30 minutes and Cologne in under 45 minutes. A shuttle bus connects Limburg Süd to the historic town, which is famed for its spectacular seven-spired cathedral perched above the Lahn river.
