Roma Termini is Italy's largest and busiest railway station, a sweeping modernist structure inaugurated in 1950 that sits at the heart of Rome's public transport network. It is the terminus or stopping point for virtually all intercity and high-speed services in Italy, including Frecciarossa trains to Milan, Florence, Naples, and Venice, and serves as the hub for Rome's Metro lines A and B as well as dozens of bus routes. The station was built over the ruins of the Servian Wall and the Baths of Diocletian, and Roman archaeological remains are visible within the complex.

Frequently Asked Questions

Metro Lines A and B both have stations at Termini, making it the main interchange of the Rome metro. The historic centre, Colosseum, and Vatican are all reachable in under 15 minutes by metro, and numerous bus lines also depart from outside.

The Leonardo Express non-stop train runs from Termini to Fiumicino Airport in 32 minutes and departs every 15 minutes throughout the day. FL1 regional trains also connect Termini to the airport more slowly but at a lower fare.
