Budapest-Keleti (Eastern Station) is Ungarn's busiest and most prestigious railway terminus, an imposing neo-Renaissance edifice that opened in 1884 and remains one of the grandest stations in Central Europe. Budapest Keleti wird bedient von U-Bahn-Linien M2 and M4, placing passengers at Deák Ferenc tér, the city's main metro Umstieg, in ungefähr fünf Minuten. Numerous trams and buses also depart vom Bahnhof square.

Keleti is Ungarn's main gateway for interFernbahn travel, with Railjet services to Wien, Zürich, and München, Intercity-Dienste to Prag and Warschau, and Verbindungen to Bukarest, Belgrad, and Zagreb. It is der verkehrsreichste international Bahnhof in the country.
