Rotterdam Centraal is the Hauptbahnhof of the Niederlande' second city and a landmark of contemporary architecture, with its dramatic angular glass-and-steel façade completed in 2014 replacing a post-war building that itself had replaced the station destroyed in the 1940 bombing. The station handles Intercity-Dienste across the Niederlande, Thalys Hochgeschwindigkeitszüge to Brüssel and Paris, and Eurostar Verbindungen to London, sowie being the hub of the Rotterdam metro and Straßenbahnnetz.
