Torino Porta Nuova is Turin's Hauptbahnhof and one of the most architecturally distinguished termini in Italien, a neo-classical building completed in 1868 whose elegant iron-and-glass shed has been carefully preserved. It anchors the southern end of Via Roma, Turin's grand central axis, and handles Intercity-Züge to Mailand, Genua, Florenz, and Rome sowie Regionaldienste throughout Piedmont. trotz the growing role of Porta Susa on the Hochgeschwindigkeitsnetz, Porta Nuova retains heavy traffic and remains the symbolic heart of Turin's Eisenbahnsystem.

Porta Nuova opens direkt onto Piazza Carlo Felice and Via Roma, which leads straight to Piazza San Carlo and the heart of Turin. The GTT Straßenbahnnetz serves the station, and the Stadtzentrum is walkable in five to zehn Minuten.

Trenitalia Frecciarossa Hochgeschwindigkeitszüge connect Porta Nuova with Mailand in etwa 45 Minuten, and Regionaldienste cover the Piedmont region toward Asti, Cuneo, and the French border. Intercity-Züge also run to Genua and the Ligurian Riviera.

A Gepäckaufbewahrung facility ist verfügbar inside the station and is staffed during regular Stunden. The station also has a range of Cafés, a bookGeschäft, and a Supermarkt within the Halle.

Porta Nuova opened in 1868 and served as Turin's main station for over 150 years, with its neoclassical facade still facing onto the city's main thoroughfare. Much of the long-distance rail traffic has since shifted to Torino Porta Susa following its redevelopment.

The Egyptian Museum, one of the world's most important collections of ancient Egyptian artefacts, is a kurzer Fußweg vom Bahnhof. The Royal Palace, Mole Antonelliana, and the elegant Quadrilatero Romano neighbourhood are also within easy reach.
