Würzburg Hauptbahnhof is the Hauptbahnhof of this Franconian city on the River Main, positioned at ein wichtiger junction of two of Deutschland's key Hochgeschwindigkeitsverkehr corridors: the Hannover–Würzburg Neubaustrecke and the Frankfurt–Würzburg Hauptlinie. ICE-Züge stop here frequently on routes verbindend Frankfurt, Nuremberg, and München, giving the city excellent intercity Verbindungen in under zwei Stunden to all three centres. The station also serves as the hub for regional S-Bahn and Mainfranken services into the surrounding wine-growing countryside and the Tauber valley.
