Porto Campanhã is Porto's main interurbano estación de ferrococheril, the primary terminal for Alfa Pendular trenes de alta velocidad from Lisbon and for international servicios to Vigo, with trenes regionales fanning out across the norte of Portugal. The estación is connected to the São Bento terminal by a short subtren urbano link and is served by línea de metro B, enabling onward travel al otro lado de la ciudad and to the aeropuerto. Its functional modern infrastructure contrasts with the ornate São Bento terminal, and the two estaciones together form the integrated rail puerta de entrada of the Porto metropolitan area.
