Stein am Rhein is a station in the canton of Schaffhausen in northern Switzerland, serving one of the most beautifully preserved medieval small towns in the country, renowned for its painted half-timbered façades along the Rhine. It is served by SBB trains on the Schaffhausen–Kreuzlingen Seelinie, with connections to Schaffhausen and onward to Zürich and Konstanz. The station is the principal arrival point for the large number of day-trippers and cultural tourists who visit the town's historic Rathausplatz and Hohenklingen castle.
