Sachseln is a station in the canton of Obwalden in central Switzerland, located on the western shore of Lake Sarnen in the Sarner Aa valley. It is served by Zentralbahn trains on the Luzern–Interlaken Express route and regional services between Luzern and Meiringen or Interlaken Ost, offering scenic mountain views. The village of Sachseln is a Catholic pilgrimage site, home to the shrine of Saint Nicholas of Flüe, patron saint of Switzerland.
