Lenk is the terminus of the BLS narrow-gauge Simmental line from Spiez, taking about one hour. The line follows the Simme river through an increasingly alpine valley. At Spiez, connections to Bern and the Lotschberg line are available.

BLS regional trains on the Spiez-Zweisimmen-Lenk line serve the station. At Zweisimmen, connections to the MOB Golden Pass route to Montreux are available. Lenk is the end of the line.

Lenk station has basic facilities. The village centre with its hotels and ski facilities is within walking distance of the terminus.

Lenk is a traditional alpine resort at the head of the Simmental valley. The Iffigenfalle waterfall is one of the highest in the Bernese Oberland. The Betelberg and Metsch ski areas provide winter sports, while summer offers hiking to alpine lakes and the Wildstrubel glacier region.

The Simmental is a long valley in the Bernese Oberland, famous for the Simmental cattle breed. The valley stretches from Spiez to Lenk, with traditional wooden farmhouses dotting the slopes. Lenk at the valley's head is surrounded by peaks reaching over 3,000 metres.
