关于 迈林根

Meiringen is the mountain terminus of the Zentralbahn (formerly Brünig Railway) line from Lucerne and Interlaken, sitting at the head of the Haslital valley beneath the dramatic Reichenbach Falls and the rugged Rosenlaui glacier area. The falls are perhaps best known internationally as the site where Arthur Conan Doyle staged the apparent death of Sherlock Holmes and Professor Moriarty, and a Sherlock Holmes museum in the town celebrates this literary connection. The station is the starting point for hikers and cyclists exploring the Bernese Oberland's eastern reaches, and the Aareschlucht gorge is a short journey away.
